In 1913, the University of Michigan's "University Bulletin" v14 n6 published "Michigan Trees: A handbook of the native and most important introduced species". It was written by Charles Herbert Otis, with an introduction by George Plumer Burns.

Burns was the director of the Botanical Garden and Arboretum; Burns Park in Ann Arbor is named after him.

This edition was digitized by Google from a copy that was given to Harvard.
