Ann Arbor Area Civic Document Repository

On April 18, 2019, Luis Vazquez filed FOIA 1980 with the City of Ann Arbor, requesting certain public records including records of communications between members of City Council and certain individuals.

In response, those individuals filed suit in Circuit Court to block release of those records, asserting that those records are not "public records" as defined by FOIA.

This document collection includes the full response to FOIA 1980 as delivered in response to FOIA 2012. It includes the stipulated agreement between the City of Ann Arbor and the plaintiffs, signed by Judge Carol Kuhnke, in re 19-639-CZ "Lesko et al v City of Ann Arbor" on June 12, 2019.
