In connection with Campus Plan 2050, the University is proposing to install a new Automated Transit System that runs on a dedicated elevated guideway structure to serve multiple locations on the Ann Arbor campus and provide enhanced connectivity between the Central Campus, Medical Campus and North Campus. This RFQ is a preliminary step in identifying vendors that could be capable of delivering such a project, and will likely be followed by an RFP next year assuming the project continues moving forward.
